New technology of DVR surveillance systems became popular. GCI had installed many Digital Surveillance Systems for restaurants, warehouses, and offices since 2001.

GCI purchased a new office building located at 6918 Corporate Drive. GCI training center was formed to provide excellent training services for customers and students.

GCI and Chinatown Map & Directory have become one of the major data sources for Southwest Houston area.
